Our Research Projects Lesson Plan equips students with the skills and strategies to prepare, write and present a research project.  The Fastest Research Project in the World activity provides ample time for step implementation, and enables students to understand, implement, and reinforce the process of research.

Classroom Procedure / Teacher Instruction Sample:

  1. Ask: What does it mean to do research?
  2. Allow for responses and discussion. Ask students to give examples of research.
  3. Allow for responses and discussion. Introduce research projects to the class.
  4. Distribute Research Projects content pages. Read and review the information with the students. Use the final question as a closing to the lesson. Use the additional resources to enhance understanding.
  5. Distribute Activity pages, The Fastest Research Project in the World, which should take about 40 minutes, or you may adjust the time for each section. Read and review all of the instructions and the steps students must complete. They will need access to the Internet or other sources such as encyclopedias.

Love this program

I haven't used it yet, since school is out for the summer, but I will next year. We do a science fair and an invention convention, so this will help my kids a lot.
